Alyogyne huegelii 'Santa Cruz ~ Blue Hibiscus

Alyogyne Santa Cruz is an open showy shrub. The Blue Hibiscus prefers full sun and soil with good drainage. Alyogyne Santa Cruz is surprisingly hardy and almost always in bloom. The foliage on Blue Hibiscus plants tends to get rather sparse if they do not get adequate soil and water. I have had plants survive winters where the temperatures dipped into the low 20's. The plants are native to Australia. Alyogyne Santa Cruz is a nectar source for the Painted Lady Butterfly and a great addition to the butterfly garden.
