Salvia semiatrata is a
perfect plant for those who like colors that vibrate. This electric plant grows well
in full sun, requires only a little water to get established. It is best used where it can be seen from
close to mid-range to get the full shock of the colors. It blooms
almost year round. No weather that we have
experienced has damaged this hardy soul. If fault can be found, it is that
Salvia semiatrata is brittle, so it should be set out of the way of dogs, kids and balls.
