Crotalaria agatiflora ~ Canary Bird Bush

Crotalaria agatiflora is a large shrub, or can even be trimmed as a small tree.  For me the real attraction of the Canary Bird Bush is the large lime green flowers.  It seems that Crotalaria agatiflora is almost always in bloom, but the best blooming time is in the Spring and Fall.  Inland areas will have a reduced growth during the summer.  The plants can become quite leggy and collapse upon themselves.  I hard prune Crotalaria agatiflora a couple of times per year to keep it in shape.

High resolution images of Crotalaria agatiflora are available.
