This is a
great cut flower. It holds the flowers both on and off the bush for a
long time and they have a very
distinctive look. The bush series of Anigozanthos are all dwarf plants
with flowers at a height of 18" to two feet. The species plants
can be more than 4 feet tall. This is often too large for many
gardens.There is a black fungus that grows on the iris-like leaves
and this is hard to get rid of. It is caused by excessive overhead watering. I
usually put them on a drip system and water them infrequently once they are
established. It is hardy to the
low 20's. It is the result of a cross between A. humilis and A. flavidus. It
will grow in some shade but performs better in full sun.
