Salvia
'indigo spires' |
| I have
usually grown this Salvia indigo spires in at least half shade. It has gotten as big as 5 feet by 5
feet. It is blooming most of the spring through fall. It can get a little
washed out in the summer and likes regular light trimming to keep it from
getting leggy. I give it a strong
haircut in the middle of winter. Without trimming the upper 2/3 of each branch to
dies back anyways. It was damaged but not killed at 20 degrees F.
