English Garden Rose * Introduced in 1986

The long lasting densely petaled flowers of English Garden are often in a vase in my house.  The flat topped flowers have a coloring that fades from a rich apricot to cream.  The leaves are a robust green on an upright 5 foot bush.  I have had no disease problems but black spot and mildew are reported from less fortunate climes.  If you like the quartered rose pattern of the old fashioned roses, English Garden is a great rose choice for your garden.

The parents of English Garden include a Lillian Austin crossed with a seedling and Iceberg crossed with Wife of Bath.  The result is wonderful.
