Chaucer * Introduced in 1970

The Chaucer rose has shell pink flowers fading as they unfurl with a golden yellow glow in the center of the rose petals.  The Chaucer Rose is a good performer with a slight tendency to the fungal problems so it is best not to plant them too close to the coast.   The flowers are great cut and very fragrant.  Chaucer is a medium sized rose approaching 3-4 feet tall.

Chaucer is the result of a cross between 'Duchess de Montebello' and 'Constance Spry'.
