John Clare Rose *  Introduced 1994

The Rose John Clare is a small rose, growing to 5 x 5  feet.  The dark pink double flowers open to a cup shape and then fully open to show the anthers in the center.  The flowers are moderately fragrant.  This is one of the most floriferous of the David Austin roses in Southern California.

The John Clare Rose was developed from the Wife of Bath and a seedling.  It is relatively disease resistant.  David Austin introduced the rose in 1994.
