Streptosolen jamesonii - Marmalade Bush

Streptosolen jamesonii is one of the more spectacular shrubs for the banana belt. The Marmalade Bush is tender when temperatures dip below freezing. Streptosolen jamesonii will grow to 6 feet tall and wide if trained as a shrub. Streptosolen jamesonii blooms with orange flowers through the warmer months from late Spring through Fall. The Marmalade Bush will trail, and can be treated like a vine. The Marmalade Bushes will look their best if they are in light shade, even near the coast. Streptosolen jamesonii is a great plant for the hummingbird garden.
