Stanleya pinnata puts on a
spectacular show from late Spring into early Summer. The Prince's
Plume grows in dry well drained soils. The gray leaves contrast
nicely with the brilliant yellow plumes of flowers. Stanleya pinnata
grows to 4 feet tall and wide. The Prince's Plume is winter hardy
well below 0 F. Stanleya pinnata can be found in the California
deserts up to an elevation of 6000 feet.
