With all of the thorns that
Ribes speciosa has, the flowers of the Fuchsia Flowered Currant are the great reward. Ribes speciosa blooms in March and much of
April. It will tolerate some summer water and look better for it, but that is not
necessary. This currant will just drop its leaves and wait for better times.
