Prunella laciniata - Cutleaf Self Heal

Prunella laciniata in bloom from May until frost so long as I am willing to snip all of the dead flowers. The strongest blooming period is in May. I love the pink pagoda flower stalks on the Cutleaf Self Heal. Prunella laciniata gradually spreads about 4-6" per year. Periodically I dig around the outside and take up the starts for new plants. The foliage stays within 3" of the ground, the flowers 8". Prunus laciniata can be differentiated from Prunella vulgaris by having the toothed leaves.
