Ophiopogon japonicus nana,
is one of the most tidy plants I can think of. The Dwarf Mondo Grass
is spreads very slowly. I spot plant starts every 3" to get
coverage in a reasonable amount of time. Ophiopogon japonicus nana
grows to about 2" tall. The Dwarf Mondo Grass blooms in the
early Summer. Dwarf Mondo Grass will tolerate some sun, but prefers
mid-day shade. Ophiopogon nana says darker green than the regular
species plants in the same exposure. The Dwarf Mondo Grass is hardy
to zone 7.
