Muhlenbergia dubia - Pine Muhly Grass

Muhlenbergia dubia grows foliage 2 feet tall and wide. The Pine Muhly Grass has stiff flower stalks in the late Summer and Fall that add a great texture to the garden. Muhlenbergia dubia is native to the Mountains of Arizona and Northern Mexico. As you might imagine from its desert origins Muhlenbergia dubia requires little water once established. Pine Muhly grass prefers decent drainage and a full sun spot in the garden. Muhlenbergia dubia looks best if sheared each Winter to about 6-8" tall.
