Maireana sedifolia - Pearl Bluebush

Maireana sedifolia grows well in a wide range of conditions and can live without additional water in most landscapes. I have planted the Pearl Bluebush in full sun as well as in moderate shade. The near white foliage of Maireana sedifolia makes a striking contrast in many settings. I have used the Pearl Bluebush in succulent gardens, mixed in lavender gardens and in rock gardens. Maireana sedifolia will grow about 3 feet tall and 4 feet wide. The Pearl Bluebush has braved Winter temperatures in the low teens. Maireana sedifolia has rarely bloomed in our plantings but the flowers are white and eventually fade through pink to brown.
