Lavandula stoechas Coco Blue White - Spanish Lavender

Lavandula stoechas Coco Blue White is an eye catcher. Those bunny ears in white and blue flowers up the sides. In all other regards the plants grow just like the other Lavandula stoechas cultivars. They are easy to grow, they stay low, they bloom for a long time from Spring into Summer. Lavandula stoechas Coco Blue White will bloom even longer if you have the inclination to cut off all of the dead flower heads. Lavandula stoechas has low water needs and is great for the Drought tolerant garden. Spanish lavender will tolerate temperatures into the low teens or even single digits. I have seen plants that look amazingly similar labeled Lavandula stoechas alba, at a minimum they would be good substitues for one another in a landscape plan. Lavenders are busy plants in the garden attracting butterflies and other insects. The Gray Hairstreak, Fiery Skipper, Mournful Duskywing, Common Buckeye, White Checkered Skipper, Northern White Skipper, and California Dogface Butterflies will sip nectar.
