Justicia brandegeana Jambalaya ~ Dwarf Shrimp Plant

Justicia Jambalaya grows two to three feet tall and slowly spreads by underground runners.  The Dwarf Shrimp plant has larger and darker flowers than the species Justicia brandegeana.  Justicia Jambalaya blooms nearly year-round.  The flowers are a bit top heavy and the plants can be damaged by overhead water.  Justicia brandegeana Jambalaya grows and blooms well in the full sun.  The foliage of Justicia Jambalaya looks better with some shade during the heat of the day.  The Dwarf Shrimp Plant will bloom in fairly dense shade as well.  Justicia Jambalaya will survive Winter temperatures through the mid 20's, foliage is damaged in the high 20's to low 30's
