Cordyline Sunrise

Cordyline australis Sunrise looks great with the light shining through the leaves.  In time Cordyline Sunrise will grow into a small 20 foot tree, they are pretty slow growing and can be used much like a Phormium for short to mid-range garden planning.  After 2 years in the ground the leaves top out at 3-4 feet.  Cordyine Sunrise has fragrant flowers in the Spring and Summer.  Plants can grow in full sun near the coast but seem to prefer partial shade for hot inland gardens.   Cordyline Sunrise is quite drought tolerant once established.  Plants are Winter hardy into the mid to high teens.
