armandii * Evergreen Clematis |
| I use the Clematis
armandii much like I would use English ivy on a wall. Clematis armandii doesn't stick
to the wall or pull off stucco, all good things, but Evergreen Clematis does require support. I love the dark green foliage, and the flowers make
the month of February in my garden. I have grown Evergreen Clematis in
full sun and fairly dark shade. Clematis armandii blooms much better in the
sun. Except for boggy conditions or extreme drought the plants are
