Ceanothus megacarpus is a
midsized to large shrub growing to 8-10 feet tall and wide. The
Bigpod Ceanothus can be found on South facing exposures in the Coast
Ranges of Southern California up to an elevation of 2500 feet.
Ceanothus megacarpus is a common shrub found in the chaparral. The
Bigpod Ceanothus blooms from late Winter into early Spring.
Ceanothus megacarpus can be found on well drained slopes or rocky
outcrops.
