Banksia seminuda is a
fast growning tree and has
provided dense screening in a variety of garden
conditions. The River Banksia can grow to 60 feet or more.
These spectacular 6" blossoms come out in the Fall. Banksia
seminuda produces its flowers fairly deep in the foliage on the second
years growth. The flowers are often yellow but many in cultivation
seem to be this red. The River Banksia is hardy into the 20's and
maybe lower.
