Artemisia arborescens Huntington ~ Wormwood

This robust Artemisia can get to 5-6 feet tall and wide.  The crisply shaped leaves give a pleasingly soft texture on a large shrub.  The leaves are not as finely divided as A. powis Castle or as broadly pinnate as the species.  The margins of the leaves are enhanced by a thickening or lighter colored margin.  The size is also intermediate between the two.  I love to use red and gray foliage in contrast.  This works well with Phormiums, Red Penesetum or Dodonea.  The plants are hardy to 15 or lower.
