Aristolochia gigantea is
a larger and more tender species than Aristolochia littoralis. The
Dutchman's Pipe is tender with temperatures anywhere below freezing.
While the plants may recover from the roots the top is very tender. Aristolochia gigantea typically has 4" blooms and leaves in our
area. The Dutchman's Pipe prefers moist soil. The vines can
reach 20 feet or more in suitable conditions.
