I grow this rock garden plant in an alpine box. Basket of Gold stays small, gives a shot of spring color
and fades into the background. I use the alpine box to improve the drainage for a number of small plants.
We have relatively heavy soil and due to our high groundwater plants that require good drainage do poorly.
Alyssum saxatile requires regular moisture and well drained soil.
