Salvia waverly has
grown and bloomed reliably in strong light. It will produce some bloom in light
shade. It is thought that it includes S. leucantha as one of its parents. The
sepals and the petals form a nice purple and white contrast. I give
Salvia waverly a good winter
shearing to about 6" tall in February or March as the new shoots are coming on.
Salvia waverly is a great addition to the hummingbird
garden. There are often several hummingbirds defending each of
ours from their compatriots.
