Salvia superba 'snow white'

Salvia superba snow white is a european sage that has been in cultivation for a long time.  There are numerous varieties in the trade.  All are hardy.   It grows as an herbaceous perennial to 12" tall and slowly spreads by surface runners.  Even my dogs don't wear it out.  Salvia superba can be used as a bedding plant and is a good addition to the butterfly garden.
