Salvia sinaloensis ~ Sapphire Sage, Sinaloa Sage

Salvia sinaloensis is striking for the sapphire blue flowers contrasting with the dark reddish maroon foliage.  Salvia sinaloensis grows to 8-12" and spreads to 2 feet wide.  Salvia sinaloensis is native to the mountains of the Sinaloa State of Mexico.  Salvia sinaloensis is Winter hardy to the mid 20's.  Salvia sinaloensis has moderate water needs and seems to like a little mid day protection in inland gardens.

High resolution images of Salvia greggii Furman's Red are available.
