Salvia regla ~ Mountain Sage

If you like hot colors in the garden then Salvia regla is a plant for you.  I have put Salvia regla in the shade but no more.  I planted the Mountain Sage on a south facing slope in a garden with the heat of the inland valleys and it put on a show to warm the cockles of my heart.  The Mountain Sage suffered heavy foliage damage at 23 degrees but is coming back for more.   Salvia regla is a great addition to the Hummingbird Garden as well as the Butterfly Garden.
