Lilac Rose * Introduced in 1990 |
| Lilac Rose is a small 2.5 foot shrub.
It has cup shaped lilac pink
flowers. Lilac Rose has been a productive bloomer of medium sized 2.5" flowers. I
have had some problem with thrips but as the season progressed the thrips were eaten by something
as no evidence of their damage is about now. I have had little problem with fungal
diseases even though the watering system wets the plant regularly and others
show damage from rust and mildew. The plants are nearly
thornless. Lilac Rose was released by Austin in 1990. Parents include 'Hero' and a seedling. |
